Either drill a hole through the floor, get a really long Ethernet cable, or move you xbox closer to the router.
But you should also try unplugging everything connected to the router. That means your 360, all of your computer etc. Everything needs to come out. Then turn off you router and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. Give it a chance to cool down. After five ten minutes, turn it on, then plug everything back in. One by one.
When you plug everything back in, plug one thing in and wait 30 seconds or so. Plug the next one in and wait 30 seconds or so. etc etc.
Do NOT plug everything in and then turn it on. Turn it on then plug everything in.

1. Go on the Dashboard of your Xbox 360 console to “System” area then “Network Settings” then “Restore To Factory Defaults", when it ask you to apply settings select "Test Xbox Live"
2. Go on the Dashboard of your Xbox 360 console to the "system" area then "network Settings" then "Edit Settings" then select your wireless settings part down there "Wireless Mode, Network Name,..." the console will automatically then search for your wireless network and when it find it and you select it, it will ask you to enter your wireless key which is called WEP or WPA key - you can find it written on your wireless router or then you need to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to get it from them - when it ask you to apply settings select "Test Xbox Live".

I was having problems with my XBox LIVE connection as well, and I "performed maintenence" to it and now the connection is fine. It's NOT reformatting your HDD, because that deletes everything off the HDD. What this does is it deletes all updates that have happened to games. For example, Halo 3 is now v 1.1, when you perform maintenence, it will be v 1.0 again. Also, it erases your game history, and that means it also deletes your connection history. You will have to DL the updates for all the games you play if you do this.
To do it (you don't have to, I consider this "optional" because I'm not sure if it will help or not) go to the XBox Dashboard, go to the system blade (all the way on the right), select "memory" and then press X;X;RB;LB;X;X. Then select yes.

No, they won't, it doesn't delete anything but your recent games list and your game history. I've done it three times, and every time I still have all of my achievements.
